Now that the year is over, and we've been exposed to several different authors and their unique writing styles, which story/play would you say you enjoyed the most?
I really liked reading the Grapes of Wrath. The book really sent us back into time and felt the struggle that families during the great depression had to go through.
I think I enjoyed reading Light in August. Light in August portrays the reality of people during this time period and also depicts the social tensions in the South. Not many people know or awknowledged what really occurred in the South.
AIMY A. My favorite book that we read this year was The Scarlet Letter. I like how it displays how hypocritical society can be. It also shows how one person can be isolated from society.
I liked my independent reading book, The Cherry Orchard. It showed me how people struggle with the past and how people deal with the certain obstacles of life.
