Sairy Wilson (Chapter 13 spoilers ahead!!! Beware!!!)
Does anyone else think something horrible is going to happen to Sairy? I mean, it's been stated in the text that she's been sick, plus Ma noted that there was something odd and pained about her appearance. Plus, Grampa's death may be foreshadowing other illnesses and/or deaths.

Yeah, I agree with you. There is something suspicious about her illness because at first I thought it was Grandpa since he passed and they buried him, but who knows. Her illness may be a hint of tragedy that one may get for living in the Great Depression as it is possible due to lack of resources, shelter, and jobs. For now all of it is just plot and driving most of the time as they still are on the way to California.
ReplyDeleteI get this feeling from the death of the family dog and then Grandpa dying from a stroke might foreshadow two deaths possible. However, that is just speculation I could be wrong. If I'm not don't tell me please.
