Honestly, I really liked this book because the Joad family fought back against what they thought was unfair. Also, I liked how Rose of Sharon stopped complaining and cared for the dying man. I felt bad for his son because he was caring for him and there was nothing the son could do. My reaction to the ending was bittersweet, but I liked it very much.
I agree with you, the Joads are iconic, but unfortunately this book made me cry much more than smile.
ReplyDeleteI also enjoyed the book. The way Steinbeck wrote it, it was humorous yet sad yet it had its good moments . I found it sad how the family just kept splitting up at first when grandpa died then grandma and then Noah left yet it had a good ending .
ReplyDeleteI, as well enjoyed this book. It's so realistic and can be relatable to anyone. For example family splitting apart or they take away their home. These problems are happening everyday to people.
