While reading this play and with the current chapters, I'm not sure if I dislike Amanda or i agree with her decisions. What i mean is, i think she should let Laura be who she is and should not pressure her into being in a relationship. Then again I respect her begin controlling because she is relinquishing Laura into a path that Amanda had been in the past; The burden of the past..
I agree with Pamela in being indecisive about liking or not liking Amanda because she is trying to make something better out of her kids, but at the same time she is foisting on them what she would have liked to have done in the past, during her youth years and she kind of planning her childrens live's for them, tuning out what her children try to tell her about her decisions.
ReplyDeleteIt's kinda hard since she's doing a good thing my helping them with leading them to a good path but it's also kinda sad and bad that she ls trying to live her wanted life through her children.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Amanda in my opinion, plays the role of an ideal mother.

ReplyDeletei agree with everyone she is playing the role of the perfect mother, but that may not always be a good thing since she is preventing her daughter from getting out there and experiencing things for herself i believe she might be hurting her more than helping her especially when shes pushing her to have a man.
