I personally
Loved the symbolism behind the glass unicorn's horn breaking off as soon as Jim took Laura out of her comfort zone. Once Laura broke free from her shyness, the glass unicorn; the only one of its kind from her
Glass Menagerie suddenly becomes like the rest of the horses without a horn portraying the sudden evolvement that stemmed from Laura's obscurity, however she allowed Jim to release her from her isolated and nonsocial demeanor, which I also found to be beautiful.
I agree with Muna because i also loved the symbolism behind the meaning of the unicorn loosing its horn. I liked the way Jim treated Laura with such kindness and tried to make her love who she really is, but at the end it was really surprising because i thought perhaps that Jim and Laura were going to stay together...
ReplyDeleteYessssssss!!! Thank god I am not the only one to see that
ReplyDeleteI agree. The moment when she gives him the figurine as a symbol of what he's done for her was also touching.
ReplyDeleteI agree with both Maythe and Muna I really like them symbolism of the broken unicorn, I feel that Jim is very thoughtful for helping Laura come out of her shell. I also thought that they were going to end up together as a couple.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I very much like how Tennessee Williams was able to incorperate what his sister went through in the story. Afterall, the lobotomy was supposed to make williams' sister like everyone else. But personally, I don't like Jim despite him helping Laura to break out of her comfort zone
ReplyDeleteYes I agree with you guys. Unicorns are magestiacl animals there unique, and we can say that Laura was unique as well because of her physical looks.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the whole symbolism it played perfect timing and it portrayed her become "normal" well at least in her eyes.
