Chapter 26

Oh gawd, chapter 26 really gave me the feels ;-; I wasn't expecting that at all! Well I kind of had a feeling Tom would get into some stuff he wasn't supposed to but didn't see that at all. Poor Casy, his last words are still running in my head.  Tom from the start wasn't going to stay clean I knew it. His anger and dullness lead me to believe he would be dangerous. I like Tom though I think if I was in that position I would have done it too.

  1. The thing about Tom is that both of his crimes are morally ambiguous. Tom may be impulsively violent, but it's usually justified.

    1. Well of course. That's what I meant. But that violent outbreak is nonetheless a dangerous thing.

    2. Exactly. Justified violence is still violence, after all.

    3. I completely agree with ya. However i expecteded that Tom would get into trouble from the moment he ran into that conflict when they were leaving California.

  2. Yea this kinda leads to this fugitive trail as this justified violence leads them to fight for their lives at California as they had to run from their jobs a lot to make a living.

  3. I love Tom! He really is a deep thinker and is a good guy. If I were him, I would have done the same thing! I mean, that preacher Casy was a good friend of his and was a deep thinker himself. If someone killed my family or friends or anyone innocent, I would probably snap. The officers had no right! It's not good to fight fire with fire but hey, what do you do in that situation?
