How did you guys feel about Laura being kissed, swept off her feet and then O'Conner leaving her?
In my honest opinion, I was mad because no one should act so sweet and give someone faith and then leave them, and saying that there is someone else in their life. Although Laura finally got kissed, she was left with the burden in heart that she will not be loved by the guy that she has had a crush on since high school.
Yeah it was really sad, that he kissed her and then squashed her hopes. I didn't think, he meant to crush Laura's feelings though. I feel like he kissed her without thinking. I feel bad for Laura, but he also taught her that she should have a little more confidence in herself.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I was really disappointed with Jim. He should have placed a little more thought into his actions before hurting Laura.
DeleteI agree with Goodness, I don't think he meant to crush her feelings. He just tried to boost her confidence and he kissed her without knowing how she felt.
ReplyDeleteIt was disappointing and a little aggravating that he gave her false hope, but it probably was to teach her to be more optimistic, like Goodness said.
ReplyDeleteI was pretty disappointed as well because when Jim spoke of his wife his enthusiasm for her seemed forced, almost as if he really didn't love her or it wasn't as real as what he had with Laura.
DeleteI was also disappointed as well. But Laura did not seem to be all sadden by this but take it in a lesson to learn. To be more optimistic
DeleteI was upset for Luara because he got her hopes up, made her think that they could have started a relationship. It was unfair for him to kiss her, then leave her as if nothing happened. Even if he didn't have intentions of hurting her it still wasn't right for him to do that.
ReplyDeleteI think that it is sad that he left her. He should have told her from the beginning that he was interested in another woman than to just kiss her and leave.
ReplyDeleteI can see where all of your guys anger is coming from, however, I believe that Laura needed this. That in the real world, people won't care if she's as fragile as thin glass, she will get stomped on. This will make her more independent and stronger in the long run.
ReplyDeleteI agree but hopefully she learned that love isn't easy and she will know how to protect herself from the next guy that to hurt her.
