As seen in Christmas's character, we find that he obtains a violent, relentless attitude, which creates the antagonist of the story. Because of Christmas's character, we justify his actions yet, are they truly justified? Do you think his past is enough to forgive his future?

  1. I don't believe his actions are forgivable but by analyzing his past we are able to understand his actions in the present and even sympathize with his present circumstances. We as the reader are able to get a sense of his emotional patterns and understand why he does what he does.

  2. I agree with bethany his actions are not forgivable becuase his actions have gone to extreme measure. Although Christmas had a rough past he should be stronger and overcome the burden of the past.

  3. There can be controversy between this matter; some may think he is forgivable because of his rough path, while others still think he is unforgivable. However, in my case I believe Christmas is not forgivable because he knows exactly what he is doig and has the capability to prevent and to stop and control his actions.

  4. Although his past does make us, the readers, sympathize with Christmas, I believe that his actions are not justifiable. He may have been driven to extremes but there is always an alternate solution to a problem, even as severe as his.

  6. I agree with Anabel, his actions aren't forgivable because he knew exactly what he was doing. Whether he prevents or controls them is under his power. In cases he did not control them therefore, he did what he did and us readers may sympathize with Christmas but as Aimy said "there is always an alternate solution a problem."

  7. I don't know if I can say that Christmas's actions are justifiable but I can infer that Christmas never learned how to get over his past. (Just correct me if I'm wrong).
