No specific chapter.

I know this is an insignificant observation, but I love the style of writing Steinbeck uses for the a character's dialogue. It always bothered me when I read a book and all the characters happen to use perfect English.

    Yeah same here it creates more of a realistic sense to the book.

    I really got the feel on how their speech was. I even started reading it in the accent.

    True it is an exceptional use of mood to give the text a more real and original feeling that is dismissed by other authors
