Reverend John Hale

Reverend John Hale is the most interesting character because he has high knowledge towards the devil. Also, he knows about marks from the devil and he has no fear of the devil. Unlike most whom may be afraid to collaborate with the Devil, Hale has no fear or remorse for the Devil and the actions taken towards to bring out the Devil from Abigial. Any suggestions on why else he may be intriguing?

    I will agree with you on him being intriguing, not the most interesting character in my opinion, but intriguing. The reason for this is his calm and collected manner of speaking when addressing accusations that could very well end someone's life. Sometimes he even appeared completely apathetic towards the accused, he acted calculated and methodically.

      I agree, he seemed a far more withdrawn and calculating character than we are use to seeing. Personally he seemed like he was there as a witness, or pass judgement. His actions and motives make him almost omniscient. I feel as though he is a character, who is there to give further perspective on there characters.
