Act 2

In Act 2 we have a lot going on. For instances Elizabeth, John Procter's wife, has been charged of being a witch. However, all evidence points to Abigail, she wants to blight Elizabeth's life so she can take her place. Do you believe Abigail will be caught or do you think she will be okay because of her place in this society, how she is the niece of Parris??

    Honestly, I feel that she will finally be caught for it seems that Proctor may be on to something. Close to the ending of Act II, Proctor felt that this was all Abigail's doing, especially when Hale explained to him that Abigail was accusing Elizabeth of her Witchcraft. Although she may be the niece of Parris, it's plausible that Abigail can still be tried in court.

    I believe Abigail's lies will catch up to her, as lies can only take her so far before eventually people catch on as to what is happening.

      I agree with you Selina, she can only lie so much before someone finds out she is lying. Abigail can still get caught even though she is the niece of Parris.

      Yeah I agree Selina, Abigail's lies will catch up to her. She will fall. Every powerful person with evil intentions, eventually falls down. People will catch unto her lies. I predict that her downfall will be huge. Being Reverend Parris's niece will not protect her forever. Her lies have caused many deaths, Karma will get her eventually.

    I believe that eventually Abigail will get caught in her web of lies and since she's Parris's niece, the consequences and the shame will be pretty bad because Parris will be disappointed and angry.

      True,I think Abigail may be caught In her "web of lies". Considering that John Proctor is not content with Abigail pointing her fingers at Elizabeth, he is most likely going to admit to the affair he had with Abigail to prove his wife's innocence to the people...that's if they believe him.

    In my opinion, after building up so many lies, one will be soon punished for them and I feel like it'll be Abigail. She is a girl that is not true to her word, so she will soon be guilty and be caught.

      I think she'll be caught as well. Like you said all her lies will catch up to her and she'll most likely get tangled up in one of them and be exposed.

    I believe that she will get caught. She has done something that will sacrifice others for her own happiness. She has been hiding under lies. Soon, the bad things that she has done with catch up to her and reveal what she has really done.

    I agree with all of you who said Abigail will get into trouble. When you are two people at the same time, Abigail pretending to be innocent but really a liar, you are bound to trip over one another.
