So why do you think Christmas is very anti-religion? I think its because how his life is and that maybe at one point he was but then everything went bad for him and then he called it quits. I think at some point Christmas will begin to change his ways at some point but it will be something big in order to do it.
It might be because with the McEachern family they're very religious & strict, quite austere. Since he was brought up so harshly it has caused him to become the person he is
ReplyDeleteLike Melissa said, it might be because of the McEachern family were very religious and they imposed that strict religious life on Christmasbeing so little and he became traumatized by it. It could also be that Christmas has his own beliefs...and Christmas not being very religious has shaped him into the very agressive person his is...
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's because the way his life was and still somewhat is, maybe at some point he had hope for a better life yet after so long he lost hope and along with that came anger.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking along the same lines as Melissa and Maythe. Kids don't respond to being forced into a religion very well; in fact, sometimes they sign off on having a religion altogether.
ReplyDeleteAs mentioned today his family was very religious. Considering the psychological issues and the clearly rude yet strictly religious "family" all add up to creating an overall hate of the family and its affiliations considering religion and gender roles hinting towards his hate towards women
ReplyDeleteFrom: Jessica Yanez - Christmas, since he was little, was sort of raised by a very religous family. Mr. McEachern, from the start, made it very clear to Christmaa that religion was going to be an important role in his family. That has led Christmas to have the beliefs he has today and thinking like that, probably caused him rage.
