In this chapter, Ma Joad threatened a local authority with a skillet for being disrespectful. I admire the way she stood up for herself and wouldn't let him speak to her that way. If any of you were in that situation, what would you do? Would you do the same thing as Ma Joad did?
If I was in that situation I would probably split the family to get the family all in California. I think its more important to get to California before every one else then keep the family together. I still respect Ma Joad, keeping the family together.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the way Ma confronted the man and showed that even though she is a woman, she is still able to defend herself like a man or even better.
ReplyDeleteI would do the same thing as Ma Joad because even though we're women does not mean we can't stand up for ourselves. I like how she is a strong and brave character because in many books the women are weak and always need to be saved but not Ma Joad she is able to defend herself.
